Over the last few years, EYEMC and Gunnar Nash have been steadily refining their craft, establishing themselves as two of the most exciting new talents in the bass music scene. With electrifying performances around the country and a growing catalog of innovative releases, they continue to push the boundaries of sound design and musical expression.
While both artists share a passion for innovative production techniques, their approaches set them apart—Gunnar Nash employs nuanced and subtle sampling, crafting layered and immersive soundscapes akin to Charlesthefirst and VCTRE, while EYEMC often brings his own vocals into the mix, adding a raw, personal dimension to his tracks.
EYEMC’s latest remix of Gunnar’s “WAIT4U” is a testament to his versatility as both a producer and a vocalist. By infusing the original with his signature emotional intensity, he delivers a gripping, reimagined version that elevates the track to new heights, blending intricate production with deeply expressive artistry.
In anticipation for their latest release, we sat down with both artists to dive into production techniques, upcoming gigs, and what’s next for each project.

How did you guys meet, and have you worked together on anything before?
EYEMC: We met at Firelights two years ago, connecting through mutual friends at Charity Sound System. We clicked right away on a human level and started hanging out when I was back in the states. From there it was natural to make a tune together, so we produced a dubstep beat and had Maevol throw down some french rap lyrics. The song is called “Ooh Lala” and came out on Wubaholics last year.
GN: MAEVOL absolutely bodied the verse on that track and Mark went crazy off the original idea I sent them both. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already!
Tell us more about this remix… How did you approach it?
EYEMC: I wrote the verse for this last summer. I was in the middle of traveling to play shows, and spending some time in Oregon with my family. I was at my moms house and was leaving the next day to travel for a show, and wouldn’t be seeing my family again for a while. I missed my fiance (now wife) and was already missing my mom, my dog, and the rest of my family that I was about to say goodbye to. I honestly just got super emotional and wrote those lyrics. I was legit crying while I was writing it. I never used the verse for anything, then when I got the WAIT4U stems, I realized it’s the perfect song for those lyrics. From there I put my touch on the instrumental, and wrote the bass drop. I wanted to make the bass drop feel like when you’re trying your hardest to hold back tears, but you can’t, and begin to cry… but like a “good” cry, where you release your emotions and feel ready to keep moving forward afterwards.
You can feel the emotion coming through the speakers on this one, thank you for the candid insight into the songwriting process. Speaking of production, what are some of your favorite techniques or VST’s lately?
GN: Everything you hear of mine is made using Serum. Some other production favorites of mine are Kilohearts effects, FL Studio stock stuff like Soundgoodizer, Luxverb, frequency/pitch shifters, and lots of homemade patcher preset stuff from my guy Runnit. I’ve been heavily using Melda Production’s MdynamicsMB recently to get cleaner masters, which I’m loving in these newer unreleased projects.
EYEMC: I use Serum2 almost exclusively these days!
What’s on the horizon for your solo projects?
EYEMC: Last year I created an entire audio/visual set and a new album. I’m planning on releasing that before the end of the year for people to watch and listen, so stay tuned for that. At the moment, I’m developing the next project… I have a concept I really like, so I’m taking my time to explore it and try not to put pressure on myself creatively. I’m going to dive deeper into making my visuals, and have some more singles, as well as new music with Maevol on the way too!
GN: Release-wise, you can definitely expect a new EP at some point in 2025. I’m still consistently rolling out some older unreleased projects throughout the year, so plenty of stuff to look forward to on that end of the project. As far as bookings go, I really only have the Sweet Sounds Takeover at Big Dub Festival on the radar so far, but I’m looking forward to the other opportunities that I’m sure will pop up over the next few months.
Shout outs?
EYEMC: Shoutout to you, Adam and the whole Misfit Media team. I feel really lucky to be working with people that are so supportive and invested in their artist. And shoutout to Gunnar Nash for making the original “WAIT4U” cause it’s an incredible tune!

Shout out to Runnit from Partica Artist Group for teaching me everything I know about music production. Shout out to Misfit Media! I appreciate you and Erin for helping me push this project even more so in the right direction. And the biggest shoutout to everyone supporting my music project!
