We have admired pheel. since we met him years ago, a sentiment not uncommon in his circle, in large part for his accomplishments as a producer and curator (founding member of the all:Lo collective) but even more for his humble nature and steady demeanor, exemplified in his music and live performances.
From standout sets around Denver, most recently at The Ogden with Artifakts, to appearances at festivals like Envision and Secret Dreams, pheel. brings the vibe in a way no one else can, balancing precision low-end bass with raw, hip-hop sensibilities and sharp drum programming. Throw some well-timed live-scratching on top, and you’ve got the recipe for something special… That being said, we are all in for a treat December 13th when he takes over Cervantes for his biggest headline to date!
“We are expanding on the setup we had at The Black Box. We’re putting together a fresh design to give the stage some depth, and the projection mapping looks so good with Spectrum One’s modular color palette. I’ve also got some brand new tracks that I’ve been saving to premiere at this show.” – pheel. on what to expect at Cervantes

In anticipation of the show and its carefully crafted lineup, we sat down with pheel. to talk through each act and the intention behind his selections. With some familiar names, and others that will be soon, the support acts bring a variety of flavors to this increasingly tasty dish, so let’s dig in to learn a little more about each of them.
Artist Spotlight
Name: Hoodie Weather
Hometown: Denver and Brooklyn
Style: Soulful hip-hop meets bass music
“This project is just so good! The perfect blend of parkbreezy‘s soulful iconic beats, Rasp-5’s premier writing skills and the golden voice of Lucinda… I’ve worked with each of them on some of my projects and to see how well they all match each other’s energy warms my heart. This will be their third performance and I can’t wait to see what they cook up for it.”
Name: Kaipora
Hometown: San Diego
Style: Bass fusion hip-hop duo
“Last year at Envision we played on the same day, so I got there about 14 hours before my set (I played a late one that night) just to see them, and they made it worth every second. Ronnie is a mastermind with finger drumming and playing the bass lines at the same time. Kevin is such a perfect match with his vocal presence that give me Ad-Rock feelings. Love how he also gets the crowd involved by live recording some bars, or just a couple words from people in the crowd, and mixes that into the track on the fly. So happy to have them come out from San Diego for this!”
Name: Intellects
Hometown: Minnesota and California
Style: IDM with a touch of bass
“Straight up, I think these guys are the future. Combining IDM flavor and bangin’ bassy hip-hop, all played on modular gear. This will be the third set of this new project between Wickers Portal and C.V, definitely one you don’t want to miss.”
Name: Slowform
Hometown: Denver
Style: Organic textures meet mystical melodies
“I first heard Slowform when she played a Rust takeover at The Black Box. Her sound was equal parts vibey and swampy. She plays all original sets, and as soon as I heard one, I knew I wanted her to be on this line-up.”

VJ Spotlight
Name: Spectrum One
Hometown: Denver
“I couldn’t be more proud of Griff. During Covid he moved into my studio and wanted to be part of what we were building. He started taking some online classes to learn touch designer. I could see the determination in him from the first day. Years later he has fully built out a modular rig that he can use for sound and visuals. Every time we do a show together I see him level up. I’m so happy to have him holding down this set with me, and we’ve got a lot in the works we’re really stoked to share!”
Name: FireCat
Hometown: Austin
“I’ve been paired up with Firecat a couple times now. I love how she uses her art to put on the flow community and gives it a taste that goes beyond just using a video.”
Name: Kinetiphos
Hometown: Denver
“Stoked to have Kinetiphos working on this one with us. I’ve seen some clips on YouTube paired with some of my older tunes and I love his take of 3D environments that immerse you into his world.”
